Amal Rogers
Director of Operations
I serve as a Somatic Coach and the Director of Operations at KAAFI INTEGRATIVE HEALTH. I am responsible for creating culturally competent and supportive structures for patients and clinicians and developing community-building tools using art and social media engagement. I also serve as an embodiment coach.
With my work, I strive to support people toward a greater connection with self, other, and the environment. My grounding in dance and movement gives me a deep and subtle knowledge of the body. For over ten years, I have practiced liberation pedagogy as a dancer, community educator, and embodiment coach. I have developed and implemented a culturally relevant and empowering curriculum for students of all ages and have facilitated training for other educators.
I have presented my research on transformative storytelling through art as a tool for community building at several conferences and events at the national and international levels. I draw on this well of experience to guide clients toward self-awareness and support their discovery and embodiment of their unique path. I have earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the New College of Florida and Mills College and remain a dedicated learner.
